On-site custom sawing of crooks, bends, beams, spars and planking (down to structural veneer thickness) using a high-tech fully hydraulic narrow band mobile bandsaw. Based Scotland but works nationally. Locally-grown timber supplied to boatbuilders: oak, black locust (robinia) and other timbers obtainable. Blackness Marine
A third-generation family-run farm on the river, we diversified part of the farm in 2006 and Blackness Marine was born. Created to provide of access to the River Dart making boating as easy and as enjoyable as possible. We worked tirelessly on a well-considered landscaping scheme camouflaging us from the river. The project wouldn’t have been possible without the support received from England Rural Development Programme (through DEFRA) and The European Agricultural Guidance and Guarantee Fund.

Blackwater Marina
Blackwater Marina lies on the UK’s east coast in a natural, sheltered harbour between the historic maritime towns of Maldon and Burnham on Crouch. The Continent is a day’s sail away, and London an hour by car or train. The marina has fully serviced pontoon berths for 196 vessels and hardstanding for another 150. In addition, its 100 swinging moorings can offer access at all states of the tide to the region’s best cruising waters and some of the UK’s rarest wildlife.
